The role of Multi Factor Authentication in an organization is to neutralize the risks associated with compromised passwords by adding an additional layer of security to protect highly sensitive personal information. There are two types of Multi Factor Authentication:
You can use Type 1: for passwords, PINs, combinations, code words or
secret handshakes.
You can use Type 2: for items that are physical objects, such as keys,
smart phones, smart
cards, USB drives and token devices.
